In his simple former residence, I have a profound understanding of Li Zhi and his unrestrained and obstinacy as well as his righteous and unyielding spirit.When I was very young, I knew his books, “Books,” “Books,” “Burning books,” they were my father’s desk books.I’ve read these books carefully, but I really don’t understand them.Li Zhi opposed empty talk of Neo-confucianism, advocated innovation through tripod, and hated the defenders and hypocrites full of righteousness. All of these have won my heart, but I still feel very far away from him in time and space.However, in li Zhi’s humble former residence, I suddenly understood him and his courage to do what he knew he could not do.Why is the title of the book “Big Spring and Autumn”?Does it have any special meaning?Li Fang: The spring and autumn period has many connotations. Each of the essays in this collection begins with a very unique poem, there are 23 poems in total, how do you choose these 23 poems as the opening?Li Fang: The book originally had a subtitle, ‘China in Poetry.’ I had a serious discussion with my editor Lei Lei and deleted it.Since each article is a historical figure or story, I choose a poem related to the figure or story as a reading cue.6 In the preface of this book, You wrote in your article “The White Space of Time” that literary writers such as Sima Qian wrote unique history.
